The 2017 Goose Relay takes place is on Sunday, September 10. It goes from Victoria to Sooke along the Galloping Goose Regional Trail.
The total distance is 50 Kilometres. The Relay and the 50K Ultra start at 8:00 am on Harbour Road in Vic West. Both events end at Sooke Potholes Regional park in Sooke.

Top three in each of the open and mixed categories for the relay. Top team in Corporate relay. Top 3 in each Ultra category.
Teams are made up of 5 runners with each runner completing approximately 10 Kilometres. The Relay starts at 8 a.m. on Harbour Road just west of the Johnson Street Bridge in Victoria and follows the Galloping Goose Regional Trail to Sooke Potholes Regional Park in Sooke. The trail follows an old railway easement through the outskirts of Victoria and through some spectacular west coast scenery. There are no steep hills on the trail and the surface is mostly hard packed gravel with some paved sections close to Victoria.
Each relay team will provide their own transportation along the route and may provide support for their team members during each stage. There are a number of access points along each stage where teams can provide support and cheer on their teammates.

The Ultra Marathon follows the same route as the relay. Ultra marathoners will start at 8:00 a.m. on Harbour Road, just west of the Johnson Street Bridge and will follow the Galloping Goose Trail to Sooke Potholes Regional Park. Ultra participants are required to have their own support along the route. There are numerous points along the trail to access runners for support and encouragement. There will be aid stations with water available at each exchange point.

Race package pick-up, Captains’ Briefing and BBQ
Race packages will be available for pick-up from 6 pm until 8 pm on Friday, September 9 at the Trek Store, 338 Catherine Street in Victoria.
There is a mandatory briefing for all team captains at 7 pm at the Trek Store.
There is a barbeque for race participants following the race at Sooke Potholes Regional Park. We accept donations for the BBQ in support of Team 4 Hope.
There will be no race package pick-up on the morning of the event.
